Welcome! Whether you found this site while researching surrogacy, looking for parenting advice, searching for a product recommendation, or simply wandering through the internet, I’m genuinely glad you’re here.
Starting Heart Journey Baby has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Not because the internet needs another parenting website, but because I believe it needs more spaces that recognize just how many different ways families are created and exist. For years I’ve watched conversations about parenthood focus on a single picture of what family is supposed to look like. Those stories matter, but they are only one chapter in a much larger book.
The truth is that families have never been one-size-fits-all.
Some parents spend years trying to conceive before finally welcoming a child. Others become parents through adoption, surrogacy, donor conception, or foster care. Some are married. Some are divorced. Some choose to raise children on their own. Others unexpectedly find themselves doing exactly that. Every one of those stories begins differently, yet they are connected by something much more important than biology or circumstance. They are connected by love, commitment, and the decision to show up every day for a child.
That idea is what inspired Heart Journey Baby.
I intentionally keep much of my own story private because I don’t want this website to revolve around me. There are certainly experiences that shaped why I care so deeply about these topics, and over time I’ll probably share pieces of that journey. But this site was never meant to become a memoir. My goal is something much bigger. I want Heart Journey Baby to become a resource that helps thousands of families, regardless of how their stories began. If readers leave feeling encouraged, better informed, or simply a little less alone, then this website will be doing exactly what I hoped it would do.
One of the things I’ve learned is that becoming a parent and being a parent are often treated as two completely separate conversations. We spend enormous amounts of time talking about getting to parenthood, but much less time talking about everything that comes afterward. The sleepless nights. The impossible decisions. The moments when you wonder whether you’re getting any of it right. The little victories that somehow make the difficult days worthwhile. Parenting doesn’t suddenly become easy because you’ve finally reached your destination. In many ways, that is where the real journey begins.
That is why you’ll find a little bit of everything here.
Some posts will explore different paths to parenthood because those conversations deserve thoughtful, practical resources. Surrogacy, donor conception, adoption, fertility, and single parenthood are often filled with questions that people hesitate to ask. I want those questions to have a home here.
Other posts will be much more ordinary, and I mean that as a compliment. They’ll be about organizing family life, finding products that are actually worth buying, traveling with kids, creating traditions, managing busy schedules, or discovering small ways to make everyday life a little less overwhelming. Parenthood is built far more by ordinary Tuesdays than by extraordinary milestones, and I think those ordinary moments deserve just as much attention.
You’ll probably notice another theme woven throughout this website: a deep respect for single parents.
Single parents are often described by what they lack instead of what they accomplish. We talk about the challenges, and there certainly are many, but we don’t spend nearly enough time recognizing the resilience, creativity, determination, and love that single parents bring to their families every single day. Whether someone became a single parent by choice or through circumstances they never expected, they deserve resources created with their reality in mind, not as an afterthought.
Heart Journey Baby will always be a place where those families are seen.
As this website grows, I hope it becomes more than a collection of posts. I hope it becomes a trusted resource that readers return to whenever they’re facing a new question or a new season of life. I hope intended parents find reassurance while navigating surrogacy. I hope new parents discover products that genuinely make life easier instead of creating more clutter. I hope experienced parents find fresh ideas that remind them they’re still learning, just like the rest of us.
Most of all, I hope you find encouragement.
The internet already has plenty of places where parents are told they’re doing everything wrong. There are endless debates about the “right” way to feed babies, educate children, celebrate birthdays, manage screen time, or build a family. While thoughtful discussion has its place, I’ve never believed that shame makes anyone a better parent. Encouragement does. Practical advice does. Honest conversations do.
That is the kind of community I want to build here.
If there is one message I hope readers carry with them after leaving Heart Journey Baby, it is this: there is no perfect path to parenthood, and there is no perfect family. Every family is learning as they go. Every parent has moments of uncertainty. Every child is writing a story unlike anyone else’s. What matters most is not whether your family looks like someone else’s. What matters is that your home is filled with love, stability, laughter, grace, and people who continue showing up for one another, even on the hard days.
Thank you for being here at the very beginning. This website is just getting started, and I’m excited to watch it grow into a place where every family feels welcome. However your journey began, or wherever it takes you next, I hope you’ll find something here that reminds you your story matters. Families are built in many different ways, but every one of them begins with hope, grows through love, and is strengthened by the people who choose each other every single day.
